I wanted this program to maintain my high standards of nutrition and get it out to the world, but I wanted it to be fun! Since Jaime was a natural in the kitchen and has a flair for creative cooking, I asked her to help me out.

So we started cooking together and when we were in the kitchen it was more like an episode of Dharma and Greg than healthy cooking lessons! I taught her how to make the science of nutrition really simple and Jaime essentially taught me how to have more fun!

  1. use a heavy gauge pot to prevent burning the sugar & a candy thermometer for accuracy.
  2. add an acid or an invert sugar,such as corn syrup,to prevent sugar crytals from forming.
  3. brush down the side of the pot with a moist pastry brush.
  4. heat other liquids such s milk, before adding o caramel.
